What a Cultivator actually does.

Cultivators are the doers.

Some already do this without compensation: the neighbor who picks up litter in the park because someone has to, the volunteer who shows up every weekend because the work matters, the person with a truck who hauls away debris nobody else will touch. Some are tradespeople who want a direct way to find local work they can stand behind. Some are simply looking for flexible income doing something visible and real.

There's no single profile. There's only the willingness to show up, do the work, and leave a place better than you found it.

Frequently Asked Cultivator Questions

Am I an employee of FLhour or of any Pollinator?

No. You are an independent actor completing work on your own terms, the same way you would if you performed the same action without the FLhour app. FLhour is not your employer, and neither are any of the Pollinators.

If I'm not an employee, what am I actually doing when I use FLhour?

You are recording the societal benefit produced by your own actions, measured in time, in a verified certificate format. That certificate can be kept or sold to someone who wants to claim the impact.

How long do I have to complete a Garden after accepting a bid?

You have 5 days from the time you accept a bid to complete the Garden and submit your proof.

Can I pause my work?

Yes. You can pause and restart the timer as many times as you need, as long as you complete the Garden within the 5-day window.

Can I work for less than an hour?

Yes. Once at least one minute has elapsed on the timer, you can press Complete, submit your final photo, and mint a partial certificate.

How do I get paid?

Request a payout at FLhour.com. Payments are issued via ACH direct deposit or check mailed to your address on file.

Can I earn FLhour certificates if cleaning or maintaining public spaces is part of my day job?

It depends on whether you are on the clock. If your employer is paying you to perform the same or similar work as the Garden task, you are not eligible — your employer compensates you for that labor and retains the societal benefit. If you are off the clock and acting on your own time, you are eligible to complete the Garden and mint certificates representing the societal benefit you created.

When I sell a certificate, what am I selling?

You are selling the verified societal benefit produced by your work in that Garden. The buyer receives the right to claim that impact. Once transferred, the claim belongs to them, not you.

What if I want to keep the certificate?

If you do not sell your certificate, you retain the societal benefit and the right to claim it.

What information is on my certificate, and who can see it?

Certificates include certain information about you and the Garden — such as your name, the date you worked, and other details listed under Public Information in the User Agreement. Non-public information, including your last name, address, phone number, email, and any other fields listed under Non-Public Information in the User Agreement, is never shared with certificate buyers.

What if I get hurt while completing a Garden?

You are acting independently, not as an employee of FLhour or any Pollinator. FLhour provides the platform for recording and transferring societal benefit — it does not direct, supervise, or control how you work. You are responsible for your own safety.
